Better known as CD Voice, Conrad Coby Torn and Daniel Chan are two gifted songwriters as well as singing duo. Conrad Coby Torn was born in China and grew up in the United States. He had five years of formal Training in singing, jazz, hip-hop and modern dance. Daniel Chan was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the United States. He had five years of forrnal training in singing and three years in jazz and hip-hop. They met each other in San Francisco and became close friends and partners devoting their time and talents in songwriting and performances.
After gaining rich experience performing in big hotels and casinos in Reno and Las Vegas and other cities of California and touring with the fanious dance company "Step By Step", they decided to return to Hong Kotig. They formed CD Voice, a singing duo and songwriters as well, with Conrad Coby Tom responsible for composing and Daniel Chan for lyric-writing.
They joined Polygram Records Ltd. in mid 1994 and released their first EP in November of the same year. Two of their songs reached the no.1 spot in TVB's Newcomers' Song Chart and Children's Song Chart. They released their first album in May 1995 with all the songs written by CD Voice and several of them became hit songs. Their talents were further affirmed when they released their first Mandarin album in Taiwan in October 1996 which also included their first English song "Where Do We Go".
